SMILE #281 Playing Card Games

This evening we played a fun game of "Go Pirate"....another version of "Go Fish".  It started out, like any other family card game...kind of slow.  Towards the end, I realized that all 4 of us had 3 set's of matching cards, and there was only 1 set left!  I had 3 out of the 4 cards of the last set.  Whether these were the right rules or not, we had made the rule, that if you are out of cards and the game is still going, you can jump back in, and steal cards.  So this same rule applied to this last round.  Except this last round, lasted about 5 rounds!  The three cards kept getting passed around, along with another player holding the last card!  It kept going, and going, and going.  Till, my husband got smart and figured out the system, and ended up winning the whole game!  We were all on the floor laughing!  It was probably the most lively game of "Go Pirate" we have ever played....and it get's played quite often!  It made me smile to know that playing card games with even a 7 and 5 yr. old, can truly be entertaining!
