I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #274 Garlic Bread

For dinner this evening, we went to my in-law's for a birthday celebration for my nephew.  I was assigned to bring a salad, but I also decided to bring some of my yummy, and famous garlic bread! It of course made everyone smile.  It makes me happy that other's like my bread.  It's nothing special, but it is super yummy!  So here's how I make it.....

French Bread Loaf (I prefer the kind that has a soft crust.....like walmart, or freshmarket's.  Theirs is nice and soft inside and out!)
Butter
Garlic Salt
Parmesan Cheese (powedered kind)
Mozzarella Cheese
Dried Parsley

So I cut my loaf of french bread in half length wise, spread some butter on it....don't be afraid to be a little generous.  Then I lightly sprinkle the garlic salt on.  I like to purchase the brands of garlic salt that has a little bit of dried parsley in it, it's easier to see how much is actually going on your bread. Then you sprinkle on the parmesan cheese.  Then give a generous donation of your mozzarella cheese to the loaf, and top it off with some dried parsley.  It's more for the looks!  Broil it on low, or if on hi, just put it on the bottom rack.  You don't want it to burn.  But it needs some time to melt the cheese and get toasty brown!  Enjoy, and smile!

*the picture above is not a picture of mine.  It got eaten too fast!  Jut one from the internet!
