I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #186 Our Freedom

Today, I smile, (really late....due to technical problems, and too much fun!) because today we got to celebrate the freedom of our country!  What a blessed land we live in, and how grateful I am to be living here, and to be able to have what I want and need, without fear!  We are truly blessed.
I also smile, because the 4th of July brings back lots of memories, and brings on new ones as well!
1. Growing up, my parents would always do a fun dinner, and then fireworks at the end, and sometimes even homemade ice cream!  We got to join them in that tonight!
2. It was really on the 3rd of July, but 8 years ago around this time, is when my husband proposed to me, asked me to spend forever with him!  I will never forget, we were fishing, and I was bored out of my mind, but wanted to be with him, so I stuck it out!  At the end he was putting all of his fishing stuff away and he was saying he felt bad he couldn't catch me a big one!  I was not worried, but then all the sudden I realized he was down on one knee, and had a ring!  I think I was so excited I forgot to say anything, but I just planted a nice big kiss on him, and a huge hug!  Super glad we are together now, and forever!  It gets better and better every year that comes!  Love ya babe!
3.  Something new we have done with our family, since i've been married into the Hunsaker family is doing the 4th of July festivities at Adam's Grandmothers home in Henefer, UT.  Small town, lots of fun things to do!  It starts out with a 5K, then a super yummy breakfast, then fun bouncy houses for the kids, and rock climbing walls, tents set up with games and things to buy, then the best.....this truly is a small town......the parade!  It last's all of 15 min. so since it's so short and small, they do it twice through!  LOL!  It's so fun, the kids have a blast....mostly because of all the candy they get!

It was a great day, and I hope everyone had a smile on their face today!  We have a LOT to be grateful for in this free land we live in!
