I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #156 Amazing Youth

I got to start my day off right, by joining our amazing youth from my ward and attending the temple.  Seeing them spend their time going to the temple, and providing a service for those who can no longer do for themselves, is such a wonderful thing!  I am grateful that I was able to be surrounded by them, and feel of their eager spirits inside the Lords House.  They had so many questions, and just wanted to know so much.

Before they went in to perform the baptisms,  a member from the temple presidency came to spoke with them.  I will not forget the words he spoke, because I truly felt it was the truth he was speaking. He told us all, that the service we are giving is an such an important one, and that we will see blessing come to us, because of the service we are providing.  He then asked us to go home, and throughout the day, see the blessing that came to us, because of attending the temple, and when they notice the given blessings, to kneel down and give thanks to our Heavenly Father.  He said it with such reverence and power, I knew he meant every bit of it!

I have already seen blessings coming to me.  But the one that makes me smile the most, is the spirit that these youth brought into my life today.  The fact that they woke up early to attend the temple on their first full day of their summer vacation, is so inspiring to me!  I'm grateful everyday for the temple, and the blessing it provides to me and my family.  I'm grateful that I was able to participate today in such a wonderful thing.

What makes you smile?
