I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #74 Education
Getting a good education makes me smile! Growing up, most of my school years, were at home, with my wonderful mom as our teacher. She felt it was in our families best interest for her to do this. I'm grateful for her patience, and dilligence to do all that she did! It can't be easy to homeschool 8 kids!!!Although, I have not completed all my college education, I someday hope to finish it!
I got to spend an hour in my sons 1st grade class today, to just help the teacher with a few things. Although I have not been super excited about the teacher he has this year, we have worked out our differences, and know that our main goal is for the child to learn and grow academicly. And he's doing well!
Yesterday my husband found out that he was accepted to the Masters Nursing Program at the University of Utah, and we are all smiles about that! It's been something he's really wanted for a while now, and I'm super proud of him for continuing his education to support his family! I'm not saying it's going to be an easy 3 years, I will be a "single mom" alot, but I'm happy that he can continue learning and growing to make his career what he wants it to be!
