I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #118 B.Y.U. Women's Conference

I'm just still feeling so good, and smiling after 2 wonderful days that I spent with my mom and little sister at the BYU women's conference!  For several years now, I've gone with my mom and occasionally sisters or sister in laws, and I am shocked at how well this program is organized, represented, and put together!  It's truly an inspired program!  But this years conference especially made me smile for a few reasons....

1.  It was my little sister's 1st year joining the group, so it was a blast to share with her, what we've always raved about!
2.  My amazing Aunt Janine spoke for one of the sessions, and it just made me love, respect and appreciate her even more (She also allows us to stay at her house while we are there, so we don't have to pay for a hotel!)
3.  They always put on a super fun, and entertaining concert on the 1st night.  This year, they did something so entirely different, but equally amazing!  They toned down the concert part, and put in a very touching, and spiritual twist.  They had an actress come out, posing as Eliza R. Snow.  And a whole theatrical was put on, showing real woman throughout the world, and how they stand as woman of faith!  They had video presentations as well, from women around the world.  A lady from New Zealand, shared an amazing story through video, and at the end of the concert, they surprised us all, with her walking out on to stage, and shared her testimony with us.  It was absolutely beautiful!  It's hard for me personally to express the feelings in words (since i'm not a writer).
4.  I was part of one of the service stations, where we handed out kits for the women to put together pocket hearts, that get sent to women's shelter's, children's hospitals, and police stations, to help people that have gone through traumatic situations.  It was such a wonderful opportunity to be part of that service project!  I can't wait to do it again next year!

I'm so grateful that I had the chance to go, and for the help that was given so I could be there!

Something I learned while attending the classes, was to find the positive in your life every single day!  So I encourage you to do that!
