I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #321Twinkie's

In respect of the Hostess company closing it's doors, I'd like to share why Twinkies make me smile!  No it's not the taste of them, because I really don't care for them, but it in reality started a journey that has changed my life!  You see, my husband used to be pretty much obsessed with Twinkies (until he realized what he was actually putting into his body!).  He even has a Twinkie the Kid toy, that holds a twinkie inside :)

In fact, the first time I can ever recall seeing him for the first time in my life was in the High school Seminary talent show!  I was only a young 15 year old girl, but I remember him and a buddy of his did a skit on "10 ways to eat Twinkies"  It ended up in result of them stuffing multiple Twinkies down their throats, but yes I'll admit that it was pretty funny, and put a smile on my face!

The next big Twinkies event, was on our wedding day!  For our wedding luncheon, one of the women helping, had a daughter that worked at the hostess factory, and could get fresh out of the factory Twinkies!  Get this.......for our dessert, we had fresh Twinkies wit ha fresh Peach glaze on top!  It was awesome!

Years after we were married, is when my husband realized that his obsession with Twinkies was not all the healthy for him, he still had plenty of Twinkies left in boxes....(mostly because they had been given to him as gifts for birthday and Christmas) , so he decided to dry them out (no the form of them DO NOT change) and then he hung them on our Christmas tree one year!..............I smile about it now, and that they are off the tree and in the garbage!  Ha, Ha, Ha!

And there ya have it!  That's why Twinkie's makes me smile!

What's your Hostess favorite, that makes you smile?
