I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #296 A friendly Police Officer

I smile because.................. as I was going a little too fast down a street, I noticed a cop car, and of course what do we all do? ......  Push on the brakes to slow down.  Well, he noticed my quick move, and decided to pull me over!  Usually I always get a heart pumping feeling, and get so upset with myself, and the fact that I got caught! ;)  But today, I realized, there was nothing I could do.  So I stayed calm and relaxed!

 The police officer was nice, and asked me why I made a drastic slow down, and I was completely honest with him, (because honesty is the best policy right?)  All I said was that when I saw his car, I realized my speed was a bit too fast, and decided to slow down.  Well, he took my licence and registration, and came back a few minutes later and said that he would just give me a WARNING!!!  I of course was super nice back to him, told him thank you, and that I would be more aware of the speed limit!

 I smile, because I got a warning, and not a ticket!  Yea!  But I do know that sometimes, i'm just not aware of my speed, so I tell you all now, that I will be more aware, and cautious!
