I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #260 Primary General President -Rosemary M. Wixom

I had a really special opportunity tonight, along with several others in my area, to sing to the Primary General Presidency and their primary board of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We sang a song called "Daughters in His Kingdom"  It's not a well known song yet, but I am betting it will be soon.  It was a beautiful evening and spirit as we sang.  But the coolest part was before we sang, we were all in a back room, and the general primary president Sister Wixom herself came to speak to all of us, and thanked us for taking the time to be there.  She then walked around and gave all 30 of us (a combination of primary, young women and relief society sisters) a hug, and personally asked us our names, and then thanked us for coming!  I was so surprised, yet grateful that she took the time to do this simple act.  It made me smile to know that she cared enough to walk around and personally look into our eyes, and thank us for sharing our talent with her and the primary board.  She had a great spirit about her.  It was a wonderful night!
