I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #150 Being Generous

Today, I smile because of others generosity!  Today I, with my mother in-law went to my son's school class, to read them a couple of books, that were given to us from the Farm Bureau, to read to the class, to educate them on where everything we have, and eat comes from our farmers.  The stories were put in such a way, that was exciting for the young children.  The story I read was all about soil, and how the underground system works, to create nutrients to the plants, that eventually turn into food we eat!  My mother in-law read a great book on how they turn milk into ice cream!

Where am I going with all of this, you ask?.......  Well, my mother in-law thought it would be awesome to give the kids ice cream, after she read her story.  So I went to good old Fresh Market to see how much it would cost to get enough for the whole class, and I explained to the store clerk what it was for, and she checked with her manager, and they let me have the ice cream for free!

We were able to make the kids smile with the ice cream that was donated, as well as my son's teacher, because the books were donated to the school library!  I appreciate how so many good people in this world are so happy to give of what they have.  I hope to always be that way, and never be stingy with what I have.  Whether it be money (don't really have much anyway!), my time, or the use of my talents.

Have you shared what you have with others to make them smile?
