I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #94 Apple-Apple Pie

APPLE PIE MAKES ME SMILE!!!!
Especially when it's sugar free
Last night for our FHE treat, I decided I wanted to actually have some with the family this time. (with my no sugar kick, it's gotta have a bit more preparation if i'm to join in).  So I had seen this really cool recipe to make an apple pie inside an apple!  Less crust, and plus it just looked cool!  


Growing up my mom would make the most amazing sugar free apple pie, using honey, instead of sugar, so I knew I could try to pull it off too!  But instead of honey, I tried it with Agave Nectar.  I have to say, it was pretty yummy!


I used this Betty Crocker Apple Pie Recipe, but instead of the sugar, I substituted with the nectar.  Here is the how mine turned out!  Not super pretty looking, but the taste was wonderful!

    Do you eat the apple peel that you cook it in? And did you make your own crust or use store crust?
