I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #89 Staying on Task

For the past little while I have had some issues with my son at school and with his teacher. I couldn't figure out why he was so frustrated all the time.  What it came down to, was we discovered that he is a very bright, and smart student, but he has a hard time focusing on the current task he is supposed to work on!  He loves that day dreaming!!!


So his teacher came up with a good way to track his progress and help him to stay on task, with a smiley face chart.  I won't go into detail, but basically if he receives 4 smiley's he gets a prize!  I didn't think his teacher was going to start it till after spring break, but she decided to give it a trial run, and I just got an email from her saying that it has worked so well, and has stayed focused the WHOLE DAY!  


Nothing makes me smile more than hearing that he has done that, to create a good day for him, his teacher and me!  So happy for my little guy!
