.....It's the best policy!
Being honest makes me smile today! A few days back, there was a coupon circulating for $8.00 of a package of diapers! If you go to walmart, that makes them 1.50 a package! That is a KILLER deal, and you already know that I LOVE killer deals! So I bought 26 packages of diapers to stock up!
On my way home from the store that very day, my sister had seen the same coupon, and had done the exact same thing I did. But she later learned that the coupon was fraudulent. Here is the Website claiming it!
So today, I finally had the chance to go back to walmart, haul all 26 packages of diapers back into a cart, and go explain to the courtesy desk, why I was returning so many diapers! Of course they were grateful, and shocked by my honesty. (My sister, lucked out with a $20 G.C. because her honest return, in Oregon).
I could have kept them, and would of had diapers forever.....or at least for a long time, but It felt so good, to know that I made the right choice! Because I knew it was a fake coupon, I knew it was not rightfully mine. I'm grateful for the agency we have in our lives, but also for the Holy Ghost, who guides us, and directs us, to do what is right!
Be honest with yourself, and to those around you! It will make you smile!
