I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #54 TANG

I am smiling about this one, quite a laugh too!  Do you know how cool tang is?  well, let me just tell you!  It's not only a drink, it's a source of washing the dishes too!
I was struggling knowing how to keep the hard water stains off my dishes, and a while ago my aunt told me the reason, was because they took out all of the phosphate, (for some reason I don't know!)  So she told me to use Lemi-Shine!  Sure it works, but it's pretty pricey to be buying dishwasher detergent on top of the Lemi-Shine!  So, while helping my mother in-law with some dishes recently I noticed she had a huge tub of Tang under her sink.  I thought it was an odd place to put a powder drink!  So I asked her why!
She told me she uses it with her dishwater, and that it works just like the Lemi-Shine, because it contains the phosphate!  So I had to try it!
Let me tell you, it works just the same!  I can now go to sams club and purchase a gigantic tub of tang for ~ $6.00 and who know's how long it will last!  That for sure beats the $4.00 I was spending on Lemi-Shine once a month!

Yea for Tang!

  1. Just in case your kiddos find your Tang stash, white vinegar also works and I don't think they will want to drink that!! I just fill the open cup (the one without a lid) with vinegar and it helps keep the white film away. :) We are so excited to see you all in just 2 weeks!

  2. Cool to know! I just once in awhile run my glasses with a spot remover, but it doesn't seem to work wonderes. I'll have to try the vinegar or tang. Wahoo!

  3. Also as a non poisonous (you know, for kids) toilet bowl cleaner...I think it's the citric acid in it. You just flush so it's wet, and sprinkle tang around the bowl at night and then swish it around and rinse in the morning.
