I am grateful for a new year, with a fresh start! The year 2011 brought a lot of experiences in my life that has made me change the way I look at life, and I have truly grown from my challenges and spiritual experiences that I have had. I'm grateful for all of my trials and happy moments! I want to be able to think of ways to be happy EVERY SINGLE DAY! Life is too short to spend it being sad or down. I'm no blogger, so I hope that my desire to do this everyday will continue. I know that if we stay positive, and look up in life, anything negative will become a positive experience! With that said..........Let's Smile!

SMILE #26 Count Down

You know those times when you are so excited for something, that you count down the days?  A baby? Christmas? Someone's arrival home?...Whatever it may be, I just know it makes you smile!

It has been a fun week for me, watching my son, counting down the days for a few things.
(1) He's been waiting all week to go to his first indoor soccer clinic that is today!
(2) Tomorrow, he gets to have a few friends come over,  for some pizza, play some games and watch a movie!   He has had a smile on his face all week long!  I LOVE IT!

In 43 days my youngest brother of the family will be coming home from Italy, where he has been serving an LDS mission for the church for the past 2 years!  He's such an awesome kid, and has a done a wonderful job serving, and loving the people of Italy. He has expressed his mixed feelings, on coming home, and doesn't want to focus on that at the moment, because he's loving it soooo much!  But I can't help, to be a bit excited to know that he'll be home soon, and he'll finally get to give my little baby girl a hug (along with several other nieces and nephews) that he has never met before!

Doing a paper chain, or a digital countdown, marking off a calendar.....whatever you do, it's fun and it makes me smile when I get to look forward to something exciting!  What is your countdown for that will make you smile?

I thought this was funny!
